HEALTHY FOOD DELIVERY PACKAGING

How do we redesign a healthy food delivery system to be contact-free?

Group project where I worked with two Graphic Designers to redesign our idea of health food - as takeout. I completed all of the sketches, CAD, and physical models.

SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING

Created a line of sustainable food packaging, drawing from research conducted by a  group. Focus was given to the manufacturing and sustainability of materials.

To start this project, our group did research within our target audience of people from 18-34 years old. We found that many people preferred packaging that was designed to fit the food it contained (like pizza, sandwiches). Almost no one ordered healthy food to go, because they found that it just wasn't well packaged, and wasn't a delightful experience. We aimed to change that, with the GreenLine Cafe and delivery system.

The boxes we designed were also made with COVID precautions in mind - each person who interacts with the box touches a different part of it. The restaurant worker only contacts the outside of the loaded boxes. The delivery driver only contacts a top strap that is removed before the consumer brings it inside, and the consumer has two top handles.

In terms of manufacturing, the box is made of corrugated cardboard, die-cut and shipped flat pack to the restaurant. The package is fully recyclable, and made from reused materials.
