What if we could get 100% accurate test data, as it was happening?

One of five projects I did over the summer involved testing a product before its release. I designed a small, easily accessible data logger for the controlled tests of the new Febreze Home System. I used Particle board technology to be able to see data in real-time as it was being tested. As time goes on and more of my projects are released to the public, be sure to check them out here!

Test data is hard to come by, and often hard to evaluate from a consumer's point of view. By integrating a system that is specifically designed to export test data, I codified an easier practice that allows testers to see if designs are feasible in real-time.

In more technical terms, the Febreze Home System test platform uses Particle Board technology (which functions very similarly to an Arduino) to transmit outputs from buttons and switches on the interior of the system to a website via a cell tower connection. A diagram of the placement of various switches can be seen below, as well as the output that would be seen on the website. All of this data is saved on this website and can be easily exported to Excel or a similar sheet program to further analyze the data provided.
